(like my heart for you :love: ) it's the side of a small car and weighs around 180-450 kg! they're also the loudest animal on earth! their calls reach up to 188 decibels! (that's louder than a jet engine!) fun fact! whales make 3 different sounds, and they're all for different uses! 1. clicks: they're used for echolocation! echolocation is a sonar system where animal use high-frequency sounds waves (in this case, clicks) which they use to listen to the returning echos to "see" their surroundings! they're also used to locate food 🥹🥹 2. whistles: they're used for close-range socializing! this is how whales communicate with eachother. whales actually develop their own signature whistle so they could recognise eachother, just like humans with their different voices! 3. pulsed calls/moans/songs: these are used for long distance communication and coordination! or if a whale wants to attract a mate 👀👀 and yeah that's pretty much all I know!!
